Paying your Solicitors Costs

Most advice is charged at our hourly rates, but we always provide clear cost information at the outset and throughout and we can help you to budget the costs of your case.

We do not offer Legal Aid for any Family Law work however funding remains in place for some areas of family law but it now less commonly available. You can find out more information here.

Litigation Funding

We are able to put forward clients to Iceberg Credit for an Iceberg Client Credit account at the clients request. Such accounts allow you to finance the cost of your family legal fees and disbursements (subject to status) for up to 36 months, or until your case is completed if sooner.

As with any finance arrangement, it is important that you do not borrow more than you can afford to repay. Before applying you must be sure that your settlement will be sufficient to repay your Client Credit account in full at completion of your case or that you have some other means of repaying the outstanding balance, and that you can afford the minimum monthly interest payments. We can discuss the merits of your case with you but are not authorised to provide financial advice. If you are unsure as to whether this is the best way to finance your case, you should take independent financial advice. We do not receive any commission for our work with Iceberg Credit.

In April 2014, Resolution announced that they had selected Iceberg as their partner to offer matrimonial fee finance via their members.
