Chantal Miles

Paralegal - Family Team

Chantal is based at our Newcastle office and works alongside Head of Family Law, April Lancaster, in our Family Team.

Chantal's Approach: Chantal describes herself as approachable, friendly and caring. She always wants the best for clients, especially making sure that their experience is as comfortable and supported as possible.

Chantal was born and raised in Stoke-on-Trent. After spending a year in Liverpool for university, she realised she wanted to return home. Since then, she has returned to Stoke-on-Trent and has recently bought and moved into her own home, choosing to stay in the area to remain close to my family and continue working locally.

Chantal loves to travel and enjoy festivals in the summertime. Spending time with family and friends and her dog Willow, is important to her, and she enjoy company and being around others. In her spare time, she loves cooking and baking and sharing homemade treats with family and friends. She is also very creative and updates her scrapbook with memories from her holidays and special moments.

Chantal's passion for family law began during her time at university and was further inspired by her previous experience working in a high school, where she often found herself supporting students through personal challenges.

Being the oldest sister in her family, she's also naturally taken on the role of the unofficial family mediator. She is down to earth and honest, and she genuinely cares about helping others. Whether it’s offering support, advice, or just a listening ear, she always strive to do what’s best for those around her.

Qualifications: After finishing her GCSE’s in High school she moved to Newcastle-under-Lyme college and passed Law, Sociology and English despite her final year being disrupted by Covid. She decided to continue to study Law at University after taking an interest at college. She originally moved to Liverpool and after a year decided to move home and transferred to Keele University where she qualified with her degree in June 2025. Her next goal is to take the SQE to qualify as a solicitor.

Nowell Meller Journey: Chantal joined Nowell Meller in November 2025 as a Paralegal in the Family Team. She said "I was drawn to Nowell Meller because of their strong ethos of excellent client care and their commitment to supporting each team member’s personal progression and development. I have always wanted to work in an environment where our values align, and I am excited about the opportunity to grow and progress here."
