I have been a Solicitor at Nowell Meller since January 2024, and the firm’s commitment to gender equality is clear from day one. Most staff at Nowell Meller are female and three of the five directors are female, showing that gender is not a barrier. It is great to work for a firm who focus not only on supporting all staff with their work life balance but also promoting women’s careers. Since starting work at Nowell Meller, I have been supported in opportunities to develop my career, advance my understanding of the business and progress into a leadership position. The opportunities provided are all in consideration of my home life and Nowell Meller are always keen to ensure that I have quality time at home with my husband, daughter, and dog, with no element of feeling guilty or feeling as though my career will be detrimental for wanting to have a work life balance. Nowell Meller have offered flexible working arrangements and have supported me with my family, acknowledging that family comes first, and my health and my family’s health is a priority. It has been a breath of fresh air working at Nowell Meller and I feel fully supported in my career and personal life.
