Assistant - Residential Property

Iryna is an Assistant in the Residential Property Team based in our Stafford Office.  Iryna works more specifically with new builds, leasehold, retirement apartments and provides a personal and high-quality service to all Nowell Meller Clients.

Iryna’s approach: Iryna has 17 years’ experience of university’s lecturer.  She demonstrates good communication skills, a friendly attitude and a high level of enlightenment. Iryna joined Nowell Meller Solicitors in June 2023, since then she has become a valuable member of the team. She always strives for new knowledge and always completes her assigned tasks to the best of her ability. She is happy to explore all legal issues related with the conveyance of a property. Iryna is always ready to help her colleagues and bring excellent service to our clients.

Qualifications: Iryna obtained the Bachelors of Laws (specialty Business Law) in 2005 (Kyiv, Ukraine). After that she engaged in scientific research and as a result Iryna defended her thesis and received the Degree of Doctor of Philosophy (PhD) in 2013 (Kyiv, Ukraine). She is the author of more than 70 scientific publications including those indexed by Scopus and Web of Science.

Clients: Iryna mainly works with elderly or retired clients who are moving after many years of living in one place.  This can prove to be quite a stressful time and Iryna takes time to reassure our clients during this process.

 

 

Personal background: Iryna originates from Ukraine. She was born and raised in a suburb of Kyiv called Irpin. Iryna likes going for long walks and foraging in the forests. This area is famous for its pine forests which are “the lungs of Kyiv”.  Iryna also loves reading, swimming and spending time with her family. Iryna adores animals and she has a wire fox terrier dog. As Iryna says “sometimes dogs are better and wiser than some people”.

Career: Iryna was still a student when she started her career in an insurance company in 2004.  Iryna then graduated from university and after working really hard on her studies during University she received an offer to work at the Department of Criminal Law. This was where her professional path in the study of law as a science began. In 2013 Iryna defended her thesis on the topic “Criminal Liability for Illegal Abortion”, she completed a PhD in speciality “Criminal Law, Criminology and Criminal Executive Law”. The aspects of her scientific interests were Human Rights, International Law of Human Rights, The Case Law of the European Court of Human Rights and Criminology. Iryna is fluent in three languages, these are Ukrainian, English and Russian.

Nowell Meller Journey: Iryna was happy when she was given the opportunity to join  Nowell Meller in June 2023 to assist the Residential Property Department.
