Paralegal - Retirement Property

Heather is a Retirement Property Paralegal based at our Stafford office. 

Heather assists our clients when they are "downsizing" and buying a new retirement property, whether that's a new build apartment or bungalow. She will deal with the sale of their existing home as well as the legal paperwork for the new property. Heather is an approachable and relaxed lawyer and aims ensure that clients feel at ease during this process.

Heather's Approach: She describes herself as friendly, positive and pro-active. Heather has the approach that every problem has a solution.

 

Personal Background: Originally from Essex, Heather commuted into Central London from Bedfordshire for 16 years, before moving to Staffordshire to live closer to her family.

She is developing her new-found pottery hobby and supports the Samaritans and Food Bank charities. Heather enjoys learning about Stoke’s history and exploring the beautiful surrounding countryside with her husband and their rescue Lurcher.

Career: Heather has 40 years’ experience working for solicitors, dealing with residential and commercial conveyancing matters and developing skills in liaising with clients, lenders and agents. Heather has gained considerable experience in a variety of property roles, including 16 years in a coordinating role for a London firm dealing with complex commercial transactions.

Nowell Meller Journey: Heather joined Nowell Meller in September 2019 to assist the Commercial Property Department. Her varied abilities soon found her applying her skill set across several teams in the firm. Heather is now a Retirement Property Lawyer.
