Accreditations: Conveyancing Practice course accreditation 2022, 2:1 (Higher Division) degree in Law LLB 2022.

April was born in Stoke on Trent and has lived in a small, quiet village her whole life. From the age of 13, April became a singer, performing in local venues up until the age of 19 which was when she started a family.

She has three young children, twin 6-year-olds and a 7-year-old – all being boys, so she is definitely outnumbered in the house, but will be very much looked after in years to come!

She enjoys relaxing, going out to new restaurants, watching Friends (A LOT of Friends), socialising and going on The Balding Reefer Poland Trips to look at pretty Koi fish!

Another thing she enjoys is sky diving, bungee jumping and she is currently waiting to go wing walking at the end of 2022!

Pre Qualification

April left school after doing her GCSEs and went on to Newcastle college to study her A levels. After deciding that the A Level route wasn’t best for her, she completed a performing arts diploma before going into full-time work within management.

After having her twins, April decided to go back into education when they were just 6 months old and so, returned to Newcastle college on an Access to Higher Education course for 12 months where she gained 3 Distinctions enabling her to enrol as a student at Keele university studying LLB Law for 3 years and gaining a higher division 2:1 – with 2 years of her education being through the pandemic and home learning herself whilst homeschooling her children alongside this!

During university, April worked within the Family Courts assisting through CLOCK to help litigants in person to guide them through the court process and have support by their side.

Post Qaulification

After completing her law degree, she worked within the Wills, Trust and Probate department and the Commercial Property department. She then realised that her heart lay within the Family area.

After having a break in education, the realisation of still wanting to become a solicitor as her end goal became apparent once having her children, who are always at the forefront of her mind and that pushes her to try and be the best that she can be.
