Kelsey Jarvis-Dale


Kelsey is a Trainee Solicitor and member of the Commercial Property Team based in our Newcastle office.

Having completed her Law Degree, Kelsey is currently completing the Legal Practice Course part-time. Kelsey joined Nowell Meller in April 2020.

Kelsey can advise and assist:

  • Landlords – whether they are looking to grant a new commercial lease, give consent to a request for an assignment or sub lease, service of Landlord & Tenant Act notices or refinance of investment property
  • Tenants - with the negotiation of heads of terms, taking of a commercial lease, assigning the remaining term of a lease, granting a sub lease or any other tenant related queries
  • Sellers of commercial property - including preparation of contract pack for properties being sold at auction
  • Buyers of commercial property - including advice on auction packs, commercial finance

Clients: Kelsey and the team act for a wide range of clients from small local businesses through to larger corporations; from health professionals through to engineering and manufacture; residential and commercial developers; acting for local charities; pension trustees and faith organisations.

Kelsey’s Approach: Kelsey is client-focused, friendly and committed. She is incredibly patient and works with great care and attention to detail.

Personal Background: Kelsey was born and raised in Stoke On Trent, Staffordshire and remained local throughout her studies, commuting to Chester for her Legal Practice Course and Masters.

Kelsey is family orientated and loves being Aunty and Godmother to her nieces. In addition to spending time with her family, Kelsey’s hobbies include arts and crafts, socialising with friends and baking.

Kelsey has received a range of awards in various sports she competed in: netball, swimming, gymnastics, cricket and athletics being a few. At present, Kelsey enjoys attending the gym along with yoga, Zumba and cardio classes.

Pre Qualification: Kelsey left school after receiving 11 GCSE’s A*-B with the ambition of having a career in the legal sector. She attended Newcastle Under Lyme College, where she chose Law as one of her A-Levels which reinforced her desire to be a Solicitor.

Kelsey furthered her study of Law at Keele University, where she gained a First Class Honours Law Degree. She completed electives in Commercial Law, Company law, Intellectual Property, Law and New Technologies and Employment Law alongside her Core Subject Matters.

Currently, to finalise her second year of the Legal Practice Course and Masters, Kelsey commutes to the University of Law at Chester which she will complete in July 2021.

Career: Kelsey began her employment at the age of 16 in a small local food retail business where she witnessed the benefits and difficulties of owning your own business. This started her interest in business which she furthered at University with her choice in electives.

While at University, Kelsey gained work experience in local law firms and the finance departments of two large international companies.

Prior to joining Nowell Meller, Kelsey gained further experience in Law as a paralegal in a local law firm, working within Residential Property and Private Client.

Nowell Meller Journey: Kelsey joined in April 2020 and has settled well into Nowell Meller family life despite starting at the beginning of Covid19 lockdown!
