Jonathan's Approach: He believes in quickly getting to the core of a dispute and working creatively to find a solution that achieves the best result for his clients. Jon is a strong advocate and experienced litigator and uses those skills to get results for clients.

Accreditations: English Degree, Law Degree and Legal Practice Certificate.

Personal Background: Jonathan was born in Cheadle and has also lived in Stoke-on-Trent and Newcastle-under Lyme. He now lives near Stone with his wife and two children.

Outside of work, Jonathan is a long suffering Stoke City fan and takes his eldest son to home games. He loves watching cricket, especially England test matches, and plays enthusiastic but terrible golf. He is a big fan of audiobooks, good food and a cold pint.

Pre Qualification: Jonathan left school after A-Levels and completed an English Degree at Loughborough University, before joining the Staffordshire Newsletter in Stafford as a trainee journalist in 2001.

In 2005 he decided to take a career break and left on what was to be a 12 month round-the-world backpacking trip. Some three years later he returned to the UK after working his way around Australia, picking fruit, waiting tables and exploring the outback whilst employed in the gold mining industry.

Post Qualification: After completing a Law Degree and Legal Practice Certificate at Staffordshire University, Jonathan worked for a specialist personal injury firm in Macclesfield - where he qualified as a Solicitor in 2012 and later became a Director.

He then decided to move away from personal injury work and gained experience of civil and commercial litigation at firms in Ashby-de-la Zouch and Stafford, representing a range of clients from individuals to multi-national companies.
