James Faulkner


James is a Solicitor and Heads our Disputes Resolution team. He is based at our Alsager office.

James can advise in relation to:

  • Breach of Contract - acting for businesses or individuals
  • Debt Recovery - whether you are owed money or you are being pursued for an alleged debt
  • Disputing a Will or an Inheritance - acting for estates or beneficiaries when a will or an inheritance is being challenged
  • Partnership/Director/Shareholder Disputes - advising on disputes within businesses
  • Professional Negligence - taking legal action against a professional if their advice has caused a loss
  • Property Disputes - boundary disputes, landlord and tenant, party wall
  • Trespass/Nuisance - acting for businesses and individuals
  • Judicial Review - challenging decisions made by public bodies on behalf of companies and individuals
  • Employment Law - acting for employers and employees to resolve issues

Clients: James has acted for a wide range of clients both locally and across the country.

James' Approach: James believes in a client focused approach in order to understand the specific needs of the individual and find a tailored solution that works best for each situation.

Accreditations: Law with Modern History Degree and Legal Practice Certificate.

Personal Background: James has lived most of his life in and around Stoke-on-Trent and now lives on the Staffordshire/Cheshire border. He lives with his wife and young son.

James is a big sports fan with a wide range of taste from football to ice hockey. He has a keen interest in music and plays both guitar and keyboard. When he is not playing with his son, he likes to read and his favourite author is Richard Mattheson.

Pre Qualification: James completed a Law degree with Modern History at Staffordshire University in 2010. He went on to complete his Legal Practice Course in 2012 after taking a year out to work and raise funds for his studies.

James has worked in a variety of non-legal roles prior to qualification, including roles in the telecommunication and banking industries.

Post Qualification: James qualified as a solicitor in 2017, after completing a training contract. He is an experienced civil litigator and regularly acts as an advocate in the County Courts
