Solicitor - Wills and Probate

Based in our Newcastle office, Hannah is a Solicitor within the Wills and Probate Team, having qualified in 2018.

Hannah can advise in relation to:

  • Wills and Tax planning – from simple wills to more in-depth matters.
  • Powers of Attorney – drafting both Lasting Powers of Attorney and general powers of attorney and the registration of existing Enduring Powers of Attorney. Hannah is also able to advise in relation to Lasting Powers of attorney for business needs.
  • Administration of Estates – Hannah can assist with both taxable and non-taxable estates, either where this involves simply obtaining the grant of representation or the full estate administration.
  • Trusts – Hannah can advise in relation to both Will Trusts and Lifetime Trusts, the merits of these and assist in drafting the necessary documentation to put these in place.

Clients: Hannah acts for individual clients in all capacities in relation to their personal affairs.

Hannah's Approach: Hannah understands how important it is to clients that matters are dealt with quickly and professionally. For a number of clients, seeing a solicitor to assist in their personal lives can be a daunting prospect, but Hannah looks to reassure her clients with an open and friendly approach.

Personal Background: Hannah was born in and has grown up in Stoke-on-Trent, where she still lives.

She can often be found outside of work with a glass of gin and a good book to read or film to watch! Hannah also has a Whippet, so often takes advantage of the green spaces in and around Staffordshire.

Pre Qualification: Hannah studied both her Degree and LPC at Staffordshire University, before starting as a paralegal with a regional firm. During her time as a paralegal, she experienced a number of practice areas, before settling in the wills and probate team.

Post Qualification: After completing an 18-month training contract, Hannah qualified into Wills and Probate in October 2018 in a large regional firm.

Nowell Meller Journey: Hannah joined Nowell Meller in May 2021 as a Solicitor in the Wills & Probate department.
