Paralegal - Wills

Charlie is based at our Stafford office and works within the Wills and Probate team preparing/drafting Wills, Trusts and Lasting Powers of Attorney.

Charlie's Approach: Charlie is compassionate, approachable, and comforting, with a calm manner that helps put clients at ease. She is committed to challenging the perception that estate planning is daunting, unsettling, or uncomfortable, and instead focusses on showing clients the clarity, reassurance, and peace of mind the process can provide. She aims for every client to leave their appointment feeling supported, confident, and reassured. Aiming for clients to feel pleasantly surprised by how straightforward and positive the experience has been.

Charlie was born and raised in Stoke on Trent. Growing up within a strong community shaped her values and her belief that everyone should have access to support, fairness, and understanding.

Charlie comes from a large family who are very important to her. She also loves travelling and exploring with her partner and also finding time for reading and embroidery in her spare time. 

Charlie completed her law degree at Keele University in 2024 graduating with a 2:1 with the Keele University Employability Achievement Award for her contributions to CLOCK where she supported vulnerable families navigating the court system. This experience provided valuable insight into the barriers many people face when accessing legal advice and reinforced the importance of community-focused legal support and charitable outreach. 

Charlie also completed her Master’s in Law and Society at Keele University in 2025.Charlie began her legal career in private client work, gaining experience in matters including wills and lasting powers of attorney. While she also gained exposure to family law, she found her passion firmly within private client, supporting people with forward planning and protection for the future.

Nowell Meller Journey: Charlie joined Nowell Meller in January 2026 having been drawn to the firm’s strong ethos and values, particularly its emphasis on culture, clients, and community. The firm’s involvement in the creation of CLOCK strongly resonated with her own experiences and outlook on the law. She values Nowell Meller’s commitment to accessibility and client-focused legal services and enjoys working in an environment that aligns closely with her own principles and approach to supporting clients.
