Solicitor - Wills and Probate

Amy is a Solicitor and part of our Wills and Probate Team, based in the Stafford office. She can assist in relation to all aspects of Wills and Probate matters including:

  • Powers of Attorney – Amy will assist you with the preparation of your Lasting Powers of Attorney for both Property and Finance and Health and Welfare right through to registration at the Office of the Public Guardian.
  • Simple or complex Wills – Amy will be able to assist you with putting your Wills into place, whether simple or more complex or taking minor amendments by way of Codicil.
  • Administration of Estates – Amy will deal with the full administration of the deceased’s estate and provide necessary advice to the personal representatives. Amy will also be able to assist in obtaining grants of probate (where the deceased left a Will) and Letters of Administration (where the deceased did not leave a Will and passed away intestate).
  • Property aspects – Amy has a background of Land Law which predominately relates to residential property along with some commercial experience. She is, therefore, able to offer advice relating to property elements which often arise with matters within Private Client.

Clients: Amy acts for a range of clients in all capacities such as Attorney, Executor, Administrator or Beneficiary.  

Amy’s Approach: Amy is calm and understanding and will always listen to clients to establish their needs, particularly when facing uncertainty or a difficult time in their lives as we all no doubt face at some point. Amy is well organised and works well under pressure and strives to ensure that her clients are kept fully up to date on matters as they progress.

Amy was born and raised in Staffordshire and continues to reside in the area.

Whilst studying at University Amy set up her own beauty and lifestyle blog and continues to work on this in her spare time. Alongside this Amy enjoys reading immensely and has established quite the collection of books! Amy also has a passion for wildlife and photography and enjoys combining the two where possible.

After completing her GCSE’s and Access to Higher Education Course Amy attended the University of Central Lancashire to study a BSc (Hons) Environmental Management and Geography degree. After graduating and taking some time out she pursued the Graduate Diploma in Law at BPP University. She went on to complete the LLM Legal Practice at Staffordshire University in 2018 and then started her training contract at a firm of Solicitors in Birmingham, specialising in Residential Property.

Amy has recently changed her area of practice which has tied in nicely with the opportunity of joining the Private Client team at Nowell Meller.

Nowell Meller Journey: Amy joined our Commercial Property Team in October 2021 and has since moved into the Private Client department.
