Neil was born and raised in Stafford.
Admitted as a Solicitor in 1980, Neil has been with the practice throughout
his career, as a Partner of Nowell Meller Solicitors from 1982 and a Director
between 2005-2009.
Neil is head of the Family Law Service and Director of Mediation,
he was named as Legal Aid Family Lawyer of the Year 2007. He is an
experienced Child Care Lawyer and Family and Civil Mediator, founding and
leading the development of The Mediation Centre. Neil is a regular contributor
to Family Law Journal and an experienced trainer, with a particular interest in
creative and non-partisan solutions to entrenched and complex family
disputes.
He is a President of Mental Health Tribunals and was a Deputy District Judge
1993-2000
